Employee Code of Conduct Policy
1. Introduction
(a) Baker & York Pty Ltd is committed to offering its employees an innovative and rewarding work environment that encourages and fosters excellence.
(b) These employee conduct guidelines help to guide employees on how to act and clarify how Baker & York Pty Ltd expects employees to perform.
(c) These employee conduct guidelines apply to all individuals representing , including but not limited to employees, contractors, and third-party representatives.
2. Work Ethic
Employees are expected to perform their duties to the maximum of their ability and deliver acceptable objectives to Baker & York Pty Ltd.
3. Safety
Employees are expected follow health and safety guidelines and procedures and to be aware of, and report, any potential hazards.
4. Confidentiality
Unauthorised disclosure of Baker & York Pty Ltd information, regarding either Baker & York Pty Ltd or its employees, is prohibited.
5. Personal Conduct
(a) Employees are expected to act in a courteous, respectful manner at all times when dealing with fellow employees, suppliers, contractors, customers and the general public.
(b) Violations of this code of conduct may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. The severity of the disciplinary action will be determined based on the nature and frequency of the violation, and may include verbal warnings, written warnings, suspension, or termination.
6. Fair Business
Employees are expected to behave honestly and openly and with integrity in their dealings with Baker & York Pty Ltd. Employees must not mislead or defraud fellow employees, customers, suppliers, contractors or Baker & York Pty Ltd in general.
7. Working environment
(a) All employees have a legal obligation not to discriminate or harass any employee, agent, contract worker, supplier or visitor.
(b) Employees are not permitted to smoke on Baker & York Pty Ltd premises, except in designated smoking areas.
(c) Employees must maintain a work environment free from discrimination and harassment. This includes but is not limited to harassment based on race, colour, religion, gender,
(d) sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law. Any incidents of discrimination or harassment should be reported immediately to Human Resources or through the designated reporting channels.
8. Gifts, Conflict of Interest and Ethical Conduct
Other than in the course of routine business, employees must not accept cash, gifts or gratuities from a supplier, agent, customer or contractor for any reason. Employees must not put themselves in a position where their interests conflict with those of Baker & York Pty Ltd.
Employees must disclose any potential conflicts of interest to their supervisor or Human Resources. This includes, but is not limited to, financial interests in competitors or suppliers, personal relationships with colleagues or clients that may affect work decisions, and outside employment or business activities that may interfere with their duties at B & Y. The company will work with employees to manage or eliminate any conflicts of interest.
9. Obligation To Disclose Relevant Information
Employees are obliged to inform Baker & York Pty Ltd of any change in their circumstances that may affect their ability to perform their normal duties.
Employees are required to report any suspected violations of this code of conduct, company policies, or applicable laws through the designated reporting channels. will investigate all reports promptly and confidentially, and will not tolerate retaliation against any individual who makes a good faith report.
10. Use of Company Assets
(a) Employees must not deliberately misuse or damage Baker & York Pty Ltd’s property in their possession, care or custody.
(b) Employees must not use Baker & York Pty Ltd’s assets, intellectual property or the services of other employees (including contractors) for private use or gain.
11. Change
Baker & York Pty Ltd expects employees to remain open minded about change in the work place and to collaboratively support and embrace new ideas and programs.
12. Environment
(a) Employees are responsible for maintaining and protecting the environment.
(b) Employees are expected to consider the impact of their actions on the environment and local community, including in relation to the disposal of waste, use and storage of chemicals, and use of natural resources.
